this needs to be a worldwide thing
I read the article and, apparently, not only is this a festival to ensure fertility but they also use the time to educate people on safe sex and HIV/STI prevention. These people seem to realize that having sex isn’t something to be ashamed of having or that practicing safe sex is something that shouldn’t be taught; on the contrary, there are even pictures of children attending this festival, too. That sends a positive message to them that when the time comes and they choose to begin engaging in sexual activity, it won’t be a bad thing. Instead, they’ll have the knowledge to avoid unwanted pregnancies and to protect themselves from diseases.
